Siddharth Gupta: CityLights not a competition for Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi

The lead actor from Ekta Kapoor’s production factory is quite confident of his maiden film

Siddharth Gupta who will make his Bollywood debut with Ekta Kapoor and Bejoy Nambiar’s joint venture Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi seems rather confident of his film. The debutant actor said that CityLights is not a competition since both the films are of different genres and hence should not create trouble. KMKJHG is releasing alongside Vishesh Films CityLights on May 30.

When further quipped with the question of a competition from the lead actor of CityLights Rajkummar Rao who has recently won the National Award, Sid as he fondly called by his co-stars said, “Rajkummar is a dear friend and a brilliant actor. However, CityLights and Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi are two different films. If not this then there would have been some other film and ultimately the audiences had to be divided. So I don’t’ think CityLights’ release on the same day should create a problem.”

We agree that both the films are different from each other, however, the Shahid actor has recently won a National award and is riding on the success of his last film. With Patralekha’s boyfriend’s new found popularity we hope KMKJG which is made with a fresh star cast is able to make a place for itself at the box office.
