Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor’s Ek Villain not inspired by I Saw the Devil

The Ek Villain director clarifies rumours of his film being a remake of the Korean film

Earlier this year there was buzz about Mohit Suris’s directorial venture Ek Villain starring Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor being a remake of Korean film I Saw the Devil. However, Mohit who is reportedly miffed with the rumours clarified to a leading daily that his film is not a remake of the Korean film.

The Aashiqui 2 director said that he has just borrowed one dialogue from I Saw the Devil just like he has taken another dialogue from Jack Reacher. The director further added that he is just inspired from the films he has watched and from the books he has read, so it isn’t a remake, just a few inspirations.

The filmmaker also clarified that there are no similarities between the two films and is unable to understand the confusion.

Though this is not the first time that Vishesh Films is making a film based on another film, we wonder what worries the director so much this time. The audience will ultimately know the truth once this film releases. Right peeps?Subscribe to me on YouTube

I am shocked! Shocked that there copying going on in Bollywood! How pathetic! He admits to stealing dialogue and some scenes but not the entire movie. Look at the poster, a complete copy of the original. Why can’t the 2nd largest populated country in the world make anything remotely good or original?
