Sidharth Malhotra: I am not playing a gay character

The Ek Villain actor denies being offered the role of a homosexual

For weeks there has been buzz that Sidharth Malhotra will be playing a gay role in Shakun Batra’s (director of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu) next film. However, in an exclusive chat with BollywoodLife, Sid cleared the rumor and told us about his forthcoming films.

When asked if he’s playing a homosexual in his next film he said, ” No! Shakun never came to me actually. When I read the news also I was unaware. I called Shakun saying, “There is a film on a gay character?” and he said “ya dude some other script”. That was again speculation, so then I found out about this character but I never even came to me, I hadn’t even heard of this script.”

Adding that his forthcoming films are Warrior with Akshay Kumar where he will be doing mixed martial arts and Bhavesh Joshi with Vikramaditya Motwane, he told us, “The next film that I am doing is about fighting, its mixed martial arts. Its an Endemol production, but it has not been titled and the full cast is not official as yet so I cannot really talk about it. After that I am going to Bhavesh which is Vikramaditya’s which is solo. So this year I am very excited!”
