Sidharth Malhotra: Though Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and I have moved on, we still share a bond

Read on to know what more does the SOTY actor have to say

Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, all three of them made their B-town debut with Student Of The Year. And since then, the trio developed a bond that’d last forever with each other. Though Varun was busy with Main Tera Hero and Alia with Highway and now 2 States, their friendship remains strong. Sid told a popular website, “We had all branched out after SOTY— Alia shot for Highway, I finished HTP and Varun was midst of shooting Main Terra Hero. We bonded well on a recent international trip few months ago. We were driving to the hotel from the airport when I made Varun hear my latest song. I made him hear all the tracks then he made me hear all the tracks from Main Tera Hero and Alia did the same. That’s when it struck us that though we had moved on we all still shared a bond.”

Sidharth is currently busy with his next with Shraddha Kapoor, titled The Villain. On being asked about how did The Villain happen, he says, “I signed The Villain before Aashiqui 2 had released. So there was no baggage of Mohit Suri having delivered a blockbuster. They liked my work. I was excited to get a role like that. I pounced on it. Opportunities to play angry, dark and intense characters aren’t easy to come by. The title itself is interesting. I was sold by the climax. Mohit Suri is the best filmmaker I could have worked with after Karan Johar and Vinil Mathew.”

Well, while we hope Sidharth, Varun and Alia’s friendship lasts forever, unlike the other B-townies’ bonds, we also hope that Sid looks as hot with Shraddha as he did with Parineeti Chopra in Hasee Toh Phasee and Alia in SOTY. Meanwhile, Sidharth is compared to a young, brooding Amitabh Bachchan. To this, he says, “That’s subjective and an insult to Mr Amitabh Bachchan. I’m not even an inch of what he is today. It’s a great compliment though but I have not done any work yet. As for the personality, I hope it translates onscreen.” Well, we hope so too; we wish Sidharth Malhotra good luck for his upcoming project The Villain
