The senior actor honored with an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Indian cinema. Read on to find out what he said.

15th Annual IIFA Weekend & Awards 2014 held at Tampa Bay, Florida saw a huge turn out of stars dressed in an all glittery and glamorous avatar. Amongst a number of celebs who were awarded at this event for their great performances, the legendary actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha bagged the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution to Indian cinema.

Shotgun as he is fondly referred in the industry was presented this award by his daughter and the young superstar Sonakshi Sinha. The senior actor was given a standing ovation and he thanked the citizens of India for bestowing so much love and affection on him. Sr Sinha has given outstanding performances in films like Dost (1974), Kaala Pathar (1979), Dostana (1980), Paras (1971) amongst others. The Kalicharan actor was also awarded with the Pride of the Film Industry honour at the Stardust Awards in 2003.

Interestingly the senior actor left for IIFA 2014 after casting his vote for the Lok Sabha Elections held in Mumbai on April 24 which his superstar beti failed to do so. Congratulations to the veteran actor for his achievement.
