The two newbies have overthrown the reigning queens in the competition for the leading lady’s role in Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan’s reunion project

A few weeks ago, we told you that the Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi actor has been allotted an entire floor in buddy Shahrukh Khan’s plush Red Chillies office premises to work on their first project together post the much-talked-about patch-up. While Farah Khan has decided on Shahrukh Khan, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham as the male leads, she and her co-producer SRK  are scratching their heads over whom to choose as solo heroine for Happy New Year.

Our well-informed source tells us, “Obviously, Farah and SRK considered all the current top-billing babes like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Vidya Balan, but didn’t think they were appropriate for the role.” Why? We don’t really care.

What we care about is the two new names that we hear popped up in their heads: Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra. While Farah’s impressed with the Dabangg babe’s hard work and the dedication she put in to Shirish Kunder’s Joker, the director sahiba’s team is electrified with the Ishaqzaade gal’s emoting skills. Who will win, we don’t know.

But we do feel a new rivalry is in the offing. Don’t you think so too? News like this is what makes our jobs worth all the trouble!
