Sonaksi Sinha birthday special: Lootera, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again, Bullett Raja – the babe is on a roll!

The Dabangg gal has her hands full with some rather interesting projects this year!

Born on June 2, 1987, Sonakshi Sinha has quickly climbed up the success ladder. Sure, her illustrious pedigree may have had a part to play in Sona bagging a few films initially, but the way she has managed to hold her own in stardom and her knack of choosing award winning films has made her the star that she today is.

Sona has seven films to her credit out of which five have been blockbusters in their own right. And now the actor is looking at a handful of interesting projects in the coming year. So check out the list of films that Sonakshi has up her sleeve and we hope she maintains her winning streak!

Lootera Vikramaditya Motwane’s second film after Udaan has managed, from the looks of it at least, to play up on Sonakshi’s classical beauty. Paired alongside Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi looks every bit the classical beauty in a story that seems like a sweet romantic tale full of old world charm and innocence. It hits the screens on July 5, 2013.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again The second installment of OUATIM has the two heroes – Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan as gangsters fighting hard for the starlet Sona’s affection. Though the movie will be about guns n goons, we hear Sonakshi does have an important role to play in it.

Bullett Raja Set to release this year, it will be the first time Sonakshi will be working alongside Saif Ali Khan. And since she looks better with older actors, this is one pairing we’re definitely eager to see on the big screen!

Rambo Rajkumar The Sinha babe teams up with Shahid Kapoor in this out and out action flick; something along the lines of Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore. And since Sonakshi has been a part of many dishoom dishoom films, but played strictly non action parts, we’re hoping to see the pretty actor fight a couple of baddies in style!

Pistol Set to release in 2014, Pistol is the much awaited remake of the Tamil film Thuppakki. Directed by the Ghajini director AR Murugadoss, Pistol stars Sonakshi and Akshay Kumar yet again. Seems like this pairing just never loses its sheen! We hope it turns out to be an even bigger blockbuster than its Tamil predecessor.

Welcome 2 The unusual pairing of the beefy John Abraham with Sonakshi Sinha may be something that viewers aren’t too sure of. Yet to her, it might be the perfect time to venture out and act alongside other heroes. And this comedy, whose first installment was a box office hit, seems like a good enough place for Sona to do so! So come 2014, and we shall eagerly wait for this rib-tickler!

We wish her a very happy birthday and loads of luck!
