Sridevi’s English Vinglish to release in German and Cantonese
While movies of Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan are making noise in Japan, Sridevi is all set to impress the audience in Germany and Hong Kong
Bollywood movies are finally crossing the borders, and how! After the buzz about Ek Tha Tiger, Don 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, 3 Idiots and Om Shanti Om, we are now told that Sridevi’s English Vinglish will see a major release in Hong Kong on March 29 and in Germany in May. Incredible!
“I am very happy and I hope EV is dubbed and released in many other languages as it will find a sense of identification with all non-English-speaking people across the world,” Sridevi said in an interview.
Director Gauri Shinde is also elated with the developments. She said, “To break the linguistic barrier, and to make a communication across countries and communities. To bring closer different people from all over the world and bridge the gap between cultures.”

Great days for Sridevi. She has even been voted ”India’s Greatest Actress of All Time” by the latest national poll conducted by CNN-IBN. Sridevi defeated not just Bollywood actresses but the best regional actresses across the country to emerge as India’s Greatest Actress Ever. What a historic honour!!!
