SRK once again comes to Roshan Abbas’ rescue to fix casting problems
Despite a miniscule presence in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, Brazilian actress Giselle Monteiro made an impression with her coy act. Among the million people who watched her simper, she left a considerable impact on none other than the King Khan himself. The young actress will be seen in theatre and TV personality Roshan Abbas’s first feature film, Always Kabhi Kabhi. It’s an interesting story about how she got the part. “I was struggling to find the right girl for Aishwarya’s character,” says Abbas, who is doing the job for Shahrukh Khan’s banner, Red Chilies Entertainment. “That’s when Shahrukh said that I should meet Giselle Monteiro. He felt there was something about her, but I had my doubts. Then we met her and she wowed everybody. She has a certain shyness which works for her.” Giselle plays one of the four main characters in the teen drama. Before beginning the shoot the Brazilian actress took voice training lessons from a National School of Drama tutor to get the diction right. Smart move; not everyone is as lucky as Katrina Kaif to make it big despite an accent or have Salman Khan to give them dubbing lessons!
