The actor kickstarts the trend in Bollywood, while the rest are still trying to figure out the basics
One of Bollywood’s most tech savvy superstars, Shahrukh Khan has started off a new trend of sending out video tweets. While the rest of his peers are still trying to figure out other basics of the social networking site like tweeting photographs and re-tweeting the tweets they like, as usual King Khan is a step ahead and announced it in his video with his trademark tongue-in-cheek humour. In the video he spoke about how happy he was about his daughter’s birthday party, he mentioned that he felt very sad about his team Kolkata Knight Riders losing and wanting to kill himself for that. He also rubbed in the fact that he is humble and asked his fans for their feedback so that he could do the video tweeting often. Surprisingly, he said that “wearing glares at night suck” but then as it was his first, maybe he didn’t want his fans to see him uninhibited. While both Shahrukh and Salman never reply to their fans, both have taken on to Twitter for obvious reasons (read promoting their films RA.One and Ready respectively). It seems that Bollywood’s resident Baadshah is leaving no stones unturned to ensure that RA.One gets a better opening than Dabangg and reclaim his throne.
