Student of The Year new song: Vele is foot-tapping

The new number from the Karan Johar’s high-on-gloss production is an absolute party number

Karan Johar knows that it is close to impossible to make Shahrukh Khan look like a peppy teenager for a film with a youthful setting. So the filmmaker has carefully cast three newcomers – Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt – in his next release, Student Of The Year. It is quite fun and refreshing to watch the young actors grooving to some peppy numbers in the film.

As for the music of the Student Of The Year – we liked Disco deewane from this glossy flick. Originally sung by Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan, this song has been blended with a fresh composition sung by Benny Dayal and Sunidhi Chauhan. We loved the song, as the composers have retained the flavour of the legendary track and yet infused new youthful zest into it.

And now we present to you the latest song from the film. It is called Vele. The music-making Vishal-Shekhar have used their own unconventional voices to good effect in this fun number.

Vale is visually overloading with its high glitter and slick cinematography. Overall, it’s a good combo of hip-hop, rap, bhangra, and electronic sound that forms a foot-tapping party mix.
