STUDENT OF THE YEAR song Disco deewane: Alia Bhatt steals the show

Watch the new track from Karan Johar’s latest film

Our initial reaction to the trailer of Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year was not happy. After all the hype and his record as filmmaker, we honestly expected better from KJo. But we liked the enthusiasm and freshness of the debut actors Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt, even though SOTY seems to have shades of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar – only with a huge budget.

The makers have just released the first song of their extravaganza – it’s called Disco deewane and is an old song composed by Biddu and sung by Nazia Hasan that has been given a twist by music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar. The video of Karan’s version of the original is blingy, and Alia in her little red dress steals the show. Watch the song and let us know if you liked it…
