The actor discusses his upcoming film and reveals why he wasn’t seen on the big screen for three years
After doing fairly successful films like Singh Is Kinng, we expected to see more of Sudhanshu Pandey. Strangely though, he went off the radar for three years till Murder 2 and Singham came along. Sudhanshu revealed that he was actually very much a part of B-town in those years. “I was doing two films as the main leads. One was Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug and the other was JP Dutta’s film. Both were big projects. As an actor, I was obviously thinking that once these two films were out, they were going to put me in a different league altogether. Unfortunately, both of the films, after two-three years in the making, were shelved. So that suddenly puts you right behind because it is a race against time. That’s the reason why I picked up Murder 2 and Singham. I just wanted to refresh people’s memories.”
The experience has taught him some valuable lessons. “Post this, I am planning my career very very carefully. I have done one Tamil film for the brand and I have also shot for Rajdhani Express. It is a socio-politico thriller. I play a strong character, a designer who is not like the way designers are usually portrayed in the sense that he is a straight guy.” He’s also realised that Bollywood is indeed capricious and so has founded his own catering company. We wish him the best of luck.
