Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol turns assistant director for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2

For now the aspiring actor is going to stick to a job behind the camera

A few weeks ago we told you that the man with dhai kilo ka haath, Sunny Deol, said that his elder son Karan (called Rocky by near and dear ones) is preparing for an acting career in Bollywood. And we were wondering if Yash Raj Films would launch the newbie in their currently heroless Maneesh Sharma film. Anyway, a birdie told us that Varun Dhawan, the Student Of The Year newcomer, may slip into the big boots that were originally meant for Shahid Kapoor.

Further our feathered friend had garama garam khabar from the Deol domicile. Karan has joined his dada (Dharmendra), papa, and chacha (Booby Deol) in the tomfoolery for the second installment of Yamla Pagla Deewana, but not as an actor. Like most star kids the young Deol will assist the director – Sangeeth Sivan in his case – on the sets before takes a plunge into acting. He will be writing continuity shots during the filming.

In fact, Karan also gave the first clap – an auspicious ritual that is performed before commencing the shooting of a film. At the moment, the Deols are in United Kingdom recreating madness for their third film as a family. The icing on this star-studded cake titled Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is that Sunny’s sonny.
