The pornstar-turned-Bollywood actor beat top personalities to become the most searched name on the biggest search engine

With scams being unearthed every other day, and an overall state of unrest in the country, what is on India’s mind is a tab bit surprising. Internet giant Google’s statistics for India has revealed that the Indo-Canadian pornstar-turned-Bollywood actor Sunny Leone has topped the list of personalities that Indians look for on the Internet.

The busty pornstar who officially began her innings in Bollywood only last year after appearing in the reality show Bigg Boss 5 has already started making her presence felt. Sunny, who did a raunchy role in the film Jism 2, captured the nation’s imagination and topped the most searched celebrity results defeating politicians, sportsmen and other Bollywood stars. The people or topics over whom she trumped include politician-turned-activist Arvind Kejriwal, MS Dhoni, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s pregnancy pictures, the three Khans – Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan amongst others.

It’s a wonder because Sunny came to India as an unknown star and within a year, she has already started making waves, and is being accepted as more than just an adult movie actor. On top of that, Sunny is also giving some tough competition to other Bollywood starlets as she recently bagged a deal worth a cool Rs 1 crore to dance at a New Year’s bash in Delhi. Are we surprised now? Well, all we can say is that keep it up, Sunny! Also, of course, that it happens only in India!
