Sushant Singh Rajput’s latest blockbuster hit M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story has made him a star overnight, or maybe not, but he’s getting all starry feels ever since the film became a super duper hit. Now we all know that the film has went on to become one of the biggest hits of 2016. Not only has it been well received by audiences and critics alike but also, the film has soared high at the box office. The film has managed to collect Rs 200 crore worldwide which is HUGE! That in itself if a big deal. The MS Dhoni biopic has garnered Sushant a lot of praise and momentum. But from what it looks like, success has gone into his head. Apparently, after the massive success of Sushant’s film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the actor has got this air around himself.
A Mumbai Mirror report says that Sushant has hiked his fees for his upcoming films. Yes! Post the success of the MS Dhoni biopic, the actor has doubled his price. He now wants Rs 3.5- Rs 4 crore a film, states the report. “That is the standard practice of any star. If you deliver a 200-crore sizzler, you demand a higher price. But the problem here is Sushant thinks the film has become a hit because of him, not for MS Dhoni,“ reveals a CEO of a top production house. Not just that, during the Filmfare awards held in the city last week, Sushant was asked how he feels about all the response he’s been getting for his film. Now obviously it is an overwhelming feeling to get such a great response for the film but there his tone was a bit arrogant when he went on to answer the question. He said, ”Nai mujhe toh sabse expectation thi aur sabne tareef bhi kari..toh mujhe acha lag raha hai (I had expected all good things from everyone fromt he film and everyone has praised it so I am liking it)”
Sushant’s MS Dhoni biopic is based on one of modern India’s legends, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Sushant had played an aspiring cricketer in Kai Po Che and this is his second film associated with cricket.
