The Attacks of 26/11 song Khoon kharaba tabahi: Haunting number questioning humanity

The heartwrenching song plays out as Mumbai burns under the attacks of 26/11

The soundtrack of Ram Gopal Varma’s The Attacks of 26/11 is a rather dark and somber affair given the ghastly and shocking subject of the movie. To give a score for such a film is always tricky, lest one ends up making an overly aggressive or dark tracklist. But RGV and music director Rushin seem to have done justice to the album.

The song Khoon kharaba tabahi on that count is a peaceful song, rendered in an almost melancholic manner by Suraj Jagan, as he laments the terror attacks in Mumbai. Through this number, one can relate to other such attacks across the world too, where people have been similarly affected. What makes the track chilling though are the clips of the manic shootout carried out by the young terrorists and with such nonchalance that it makes one think what really is accomplished by these mindless killings.
