Written and directed by British filmmaker Michael Winterbottom, (best known for the Angelina Jolie-Irrfan Khan-starrer A Mighty Heart), this film is based on the 1891 novel Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy. The film is co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Amit Trivedi has composed the music. It will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival.
