Urmila Matondkar turns to Marathi television

The Rangeela girl, who is lacking film offers these days, is now going to judge a reality show on Zee Marathi

Urmila Matondkar is all set to make her debut on Marathi television with Zee Marathi’s upcoming reality show, Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe – Atkepar Zenda. The show is sponsored by Kesari Tours and Urmila will be seen judging the contestants accompanying actor-director Makarand Deshpande. The reality show is popular among Maharashtrian TV viewers and Urmila’s entry in this season promises to make it a rocking schedule.

Earlier, in 2008, Urmila made her debut on television as a host, on the reality show named Waar Parriwar. In 2011, Matondkar was one of the judges on the dance reality show named Chak Dhoom Dhoom on Colors channel, along with Javed Jaffrey and Terence Lewis. Even before that, in 2007, she was seen on the second season of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa on Sony as a judge along with Jeetendra and Shiamak Davar. But, Marathi Paaul Padte Pudhe is her first show in Marathi. The Rangeela girl is very excited and glad to be associated with a Marathi show for the first time. She feels that it’s a platform for passionate, dedicated artistes who are eager to show their talent to the world.

When we talked to Zee Marathi’s spokesperson, he said that the the channel’s team is very fortunate and glad to have Urmila in this ambitious show. This is the second season of the show and it is said to be special as it includes talented people from all over the country. The earlier season was restricted only for the participants from Maharashtra.
