The studio that swept the awards ceremonies for a string of hits last year gets a new COO
Viacom 18 had a remarkable 2012, with many of their films including Gangs Of Wasseypur and Kahaani bagging a number of awards, including five National Awards. Now, the studio has hired a new Chief Operating Officer in the form of Ajit Andhare who replaced the earlier COO Vikram Malhotra.
Ajit, who previously worked with Colossum media as the CEO and was responsible for hugely popular shows like MTV Roadies and MTV Splitsvilla, will now be contributing his skills towards Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ steady growth and reporting to the group CEO, Sudhanshu Vats.
With an interesting lineup of films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Bombay Talkies, it seems Viacom is ready to rule the roost this year too. However, they would definitely need more films under their belt to stand their ground at the awards shows and dominate the box office! We wish Mr Andhare all the luck!
