The Ferrari Ki Sawaari producer is still waiting for director Raj Kumar Hirani to come up with an interesting idea for the Sanjay Dutt-Arshad Warsi starrer
Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a maverick filmmaker who doesn’t believe in playing to the gallery. Most of his recent films have done exceedingly well, and our reviewer who watched Ferrari Ki Sawaari last evening, believes that FKS will strike gold at the BO as well. It has almost been six years since Lage Raho Munna Bhai released, and there have been speculations galore about Chopra’s third installment of the hit franchise.
First we heard that Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi have replaced Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, and then we heard that Habib Faisal will be directing the next Munna Bhai film. Apparently all these stories are false, as we read Chopra’s clarification in a leading daily. He said, “I have not made the third Munna Bhai because I am not happy with the script. I know that if I make absolute rubbish, I will make 200 crores in the first three days. By the time you all realize on Monday that I really made a bad film, I have collected the money and gone home.” Kudos to Mr Chopra and his team for striving to make good cinema, and not falling prey to the demands of the BO, like some of the recent films (read Housefull 2 and Rowdy Rathore).
