The superstars urged the aam janta to make their vote count
Vidya Balan has been first amongst many celebrities to vote for the Lok Sabha elections early this morning. She voted when the maximum city was fast asleep. The Dirty Picture actor casted her vote from a polling booth in Chembur where her parents live. When asked why she was voting in Chembur, if she resides in Juhu with Siddharth Roy Kapur, the actor candidly said, “Why not? This gives me a chance to come to Chembur.” At the voting front Vidya Balan came with her family to vote. She further added, “Its my responsibility to vote…To point fingers at others and (if) I face a problem, I need to have this on my finger.”
According to sources, Vidya had prior plans to cast her vote first and then fly for IIFA. However, there is no confirmation if the Shaadi Ke Side Effects actor will make an appearance at IIFA or not.
Superstar Rajinikanth also casted vote along with his wife at a polling station in Chennai. Apparently he casted his vote at 07:29 am this morning.
Besides Vidya, other actors like Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sonam Kapoor, Rekha, Preity Zinta, John Abraham, Rahul Bose, Neha Dhupia, Milind Soman all made their vote count.
