Both these B-town beauties were recently spotted in sarees, in almost similar hues. Tell us who wore it better
Vidya Balan is certainly not one of those actors topping the best dressed list in B-town, but then she definitely has the best collection of sarees (at least until now). The babe has often found herself being compared to the eternal B-town beauty Rekha. But we are sure that even the Silsila actor would shy away at the sight of Vidya in this get up. The Kick actor, Jacqueline Fernandez too isn’t always in the good books of the fashion police, this despite having a friend and a fashion consultant in Bollywood’s fashionista Sonam Kapoor. However, sometimes Jackky does manage to please us. Recently, Ms Fernandez ditched her schoolgirl look and chose a saree for fitness trainer Shonali Sabherwal’s book launch. And boy, we must tell you we were charmed. She looked pretty despite the dash of yellow in her pallu! Jackie had teamed her saree with a round-necked, three-fourth sleeved simple embroidered blouse. Her colour block cream and yellow saree looked both classy and elegant. Her hairdo added to the sophisticated look and she was sans any accessories, except for a smart looking watch and a bracelet. Wethinks the actor fared well in our fashion-o-meter!
And for some reason, (could be the yellow colour), we were reminded of Vidya’s appearance at a recent press mess. The Shaadi Ke Side Effects actor had draped a color-blocked silver-grey and yellow saree. She had teamed the Payal Singhal saree with a black collar-necked blouse, while her hair was done up. Frankly, neck upwards, she looked beautiful. But unlike what a saree generally does to Vidya’s full figure, this one failed to flatter the Kahaani babe. She looked more like a politician (with no sense of style) than an actor.
