The filmmaker has decided to get creative with the statutory message warning people of the ill-effects of smoking
Vishal Bharadwaj, one of the most creative directors of B-town, has a penchant for coming up with something new. Besides the fantastic casting that he has managed for his upcoming flick Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, looks like the filmmaker is adding an innovative touch to the anti-smoking message in the film. When Vishal visited the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, he was so impressed by the singers that he decided to spread the message in the form of a song.
“I invite all of you to come to my studios tomorrow to record the opening track of Matru ki Bijlee Ka Mandola,” declared the filmmaker. And he did record the song, albeit frantically, since the movie releases a fortnight from now, on January 11, 2013. The song titled Khatra hai bhai khatra hai was recorded with Vishal and his wife Rekha Bharadwaj overseeing the process, and the music was composed by Vishal himself!
And while the seven contestants Jasraj, Jazim, Vishwajeet, Renu, Aman, Shenaz and Arshpreet consider the song as a Christmas gift from Santa akaVishal, for the audiences, it is going to work as a statutory warning that has to be compulsorily displayed before a film starts. Clearly, the archaic diktats of the censor board did not deter the creative composer and filmmaker to show his class. Way to go Vishal! Meanwhile, catch the episode on January 29 as Vishal gives the contestants an offer of a lifetime.
