Vivek Oberoi will be next seen in a web series which will be based on Indian Premiere League. The series has been titled as “Powerplay” and will talk about the cricket league (IPL) and all that’s involved with the game.According to media reports, Vivek will play a character based on Lalit Modi, the first Chairman and Commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL), in a 12-part web series.(Also Read: Did Vivek Oberoi accused Salman Khan of being stuck in a time warp?)
Speaking to IANS Vivek said that, “We are shooting currently for a very exciting project produced by Excel Entertainment. It is called ‘Powerplay’ and is based on IPL. The story takes its inspiration from IPL and will talk about the behind-the-scenes in terms of scandals, rackets and many things.” Coming to his Bollywood movies, the actor who was last seen in Great Grand Masti has Yash Raj Films’ BankChor in his kitty. The movie will be produced by Yash Raj Films’ youth wing Y-Films and will also star Riteish Deshmukh and Rhea Chakraborty. The actor has just finished the shooting for this and movie will hit the screens in March next year. When he was asked if he will be a part of Hrithik Roshan’s Krissh 4 , the actor said his “lips are sealed.” He played the role of antagonist in Krissh 3 so it will he continue to play the same part is something we are curious to know. The actor will soon join the list of stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar since he is all set to venture into movie production, His first production will be Ram Gopal Varma’s Company 2.
Vivek who has always been in news post his tiff with superstar Salman Khan, was recently heard praising the actor’s movie Sultan before it’s release. “I think it is looking fabulous. I think it is a great thing to see all these big stars experimenting with roles, doing different kind of roles or biopics. ‘Sultan’ is looking great.
