Vivek Oberoi’s ‘Watch Indian Circus’ wins hearts at Busan
Every actor in Bollywood now wants to turn producer. We have actors who are well established as heroes in the industry and even then turn to production. Ranging from Amitabh Bachchan (AB Corp), Aamir Khan (Aamir Khan Productions), Shahrukh Khan (Red Chillies Entertainment and Dreamz Unlimited), Saif Ali Khan (Illuminati Films) and the latest in this business, Akshay Kumar (Hari Om Productions). Now one more name can be added to this list – Vivek Oberoi. The actor quietly produced a short film named Watch Indian Circus that was selected to be screened at the 16th Busan International Film Festival in Korea. The film has now won hearts at the festival amongst many entries from various countries. Watch Indian Circus is directed by Mangesh Hadawale, who had won the National Film Award for his first Marathi film titled Tingya. Watch Indian Circus showcases a poor Indian family that wants to take its children to the circus but is struggling really hard to make ends meet. The short film was specially screened at the festival and had good reviews as well. The festival was attended by Vivek along with his wife Priyanka. Apparently, Vivek didn’t want to make money through this short film and thus kept silent by keeping away from all gossip regarding his production. Well, let’s hope Vivek uses such sense in his commercial productions as well, and in turn makes money!
