With more than 3,000 people gathered to get a glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan in Chembur, Mumbai, the shooting of Anurag Kashyap’s TV series had to be cancelled
When Amitabh Bachchan turned up on the streets of Chembur to shoot for an important sequence for Anurag Kashyap’s television series, little did the megastar know that an unruly crowd of 3000 people will stall the shoot. A disappointed Bachchan tweeted “The night shoot had to be abandoned without a single shot; too much of a crowd could not work. It was the streets. Despite an entire posse of security men and the police force, it became impossible to shoot a scene on the street.”
The shoot was scheduled to take place near Ashish Cinema in Chembur. We also hear that the police just couldn’t manage the crowd. Around 3,000 people had gathered to get a glimpse of the 71-year-old superstar. Senior police inspector Dilip Yadav of RCF police station reasoned that lots of people had gathered and as the location does not have an enclosure, it was difficult contain the crowds at the aforementioned location.
