While one director was there for his film’s screening, the other was there as a jury
Director Kanu Behl, who is in Cannes to screen his debut film Titli in the ‘Un Certain Regard section of the festival, was surprised to spot Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami in the audience. Kiarostami, one of the most influential names in World cinema, is best known for his classics like Taste of Cherry, The Wind Will Carry Us and Certified Copy.
The Iranian director is currently in Cannes as the Cinefondation and Short Films jury head.
Behl, a fan of the director’s body of work, got a chance to briefly interact with him and discuss cinema.
