What is Aamir Khan’s version of the ‘Talaash’ mess?

Mr Perfectionist puts an end to the rumours buzzing busily around his forthcoming thriller

There is a lot being written about Aamir Khan’s thriller these days, much of it negative. Tiffs between Aamir and his Talaash (co-starring Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji) director Reema Katgi have been reported, and it was also being said that the release date had been pushed to 2013 because of these issues. Of course, we are well aware of Aamir’s ‘extreme involvement’ in the films that he does, and that is the reason we thought the stories could be true. Remember how director Amole Gupte was arm-twisted during the shoot of Taare Zameen Par?

But apparently this time there is no truth to the gossip – none of the stories that we have been hearing about Talaash are true – at least, that is what Mr Perfectionist would have us believe. In a recent interview he said, “Over the last few weeks, I have noticed that there have been some attempts to spread rumours about my film. Clearly, someone is not happy with the way it is progressing, and I can assure you that ‘someone’ is not from our team. Reema (Kagti), Farhan (Akhtar), Ritesh (Sidhwani) and I are very happy with the way Talaash has turned out, and I would like to clarify that our film is releasing on November 30.”

We are relieved that Aamir has put an end to the speculation surrounding his thriller. Now the ‘Talaash’ for the ‘someone’ who is planting all these nasty stories begins…
