The two actors will be shooting for the film extensively in West Bengal and Bihar and that too during the monsoons
Chitrangada Singh and Nawazudin Siddhiqui will be paired opposite each other for the first time in a film to be made by Pritish Nandy’s son Kushan. As people may assume that father Pritish would be investing in his son’s debut directorial film but all of that would be a lie. Kushan Nandy wanted to do something on his own and thus PNC (Pritish Nandy Communications) will not have anything to do with this project. Cool start, hai na? If we recall, Kushan made his directorial debut with the murder mystery 88 Antop Hill in 2003. He followed it up with the rom-com Hum Dum a couple of years later but neither of the two films were a success.
Getting back to the film our birdies inform us that it would be a comic thriller and will go on floors from June this year. It will be shot extensively in West Bengal and Bihar. Our khabroos also inform that the makers chose this timing of the year specifically as it will be raining heavy and coz rains play an important part in the film. Talking to a leading daily, a source said, “Nawaz and Chitrangada are both powerhouse performers and make an exciting jodi who haven’t shared screen space together before. The makers are also on the verge of signing Amit Sadh but he is yet to confirm.” Now it will be an interesting change to see Nawazuddin play a light hearted role as he has always been seen in intense, dramatic roles. “You’ll get to see very different Nawaz,” says the source. The lead pair is also supposed to learn Bengali for their parts.
Now it will be good to see how Kushan makes his big comeback and that too without any financial support from his home production. Hai na peeps?
