We know what exactly happened in King Khan’s palatial home last night and why there was no Iftar bash! Do you?
According to a tabloid report, Shahrukh Khan and the makers of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara organised their respective Iftar parties yesterday evening, both almost at the same time. The one-upmanship game between the two was soon blown out of proportion by the media, with new updates coming in thick and fast. Now, we aren’t blowing our own very loud trumpet, but we know what the B-town Baadshah was busy with, if not hosting his Iftar party last night…
A Bandra-based khabroo insists that the do was initially scheduled in Mannat (as admitted by SRK’s official spokesperson in the report), but for some reason it was called off suddenly. Considering that the two parties were arranged on the same day and at same time, the situation had people – especially the media and industrywallas – wondering where to go and whom to oblige: Ekta Kapoor’s dinner or SRK’s! But we are told that the scene at Mannat was completely different. Ekta Kapoor’s celebration saw a huge turnout of B-town celebs who had a great time relishing mouthwatering khana.
The guest list at the Chennai Express actor’s house comprised of 40 people, including his film crew and his B-town friends – Farah Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ranveer Singh, Ayan Mukherji, Sanjay Kapoor, Ritesh Sidhwani, Dino Morea, Malaika Arora Khan and Adnan Sami, among others – who were invited for a small get together and a very private screening of Chennai Express. Also, a handful of media persons was called in to interview the superstar, after which he did a photoshoot for a national newspaper. By the time SRK wrapped up his work it was very late, but the night bird that he is, he joined his B-town friends for the special screening.
