Designers Neeta Lulla and her daughter Nishka have been asked to create outfits for the bride and her family for the big occasion

We are told that Hema Malini’s household is buzzing with activity as Esha Deol gets set to tie the knot with businessman fiancé Bharat Takhtani on June 29th. But the biggest task of all is getting the wedding outfits in place. Our birdie, who flew out straight from the famous abode a few minutes ago, revealed to us that designers Neeta Lulla and her daughter Nishka are creating outfits for Esha, her mother Hema Malini and sister Ahana Deol.

We all know that Indian weddings are never a quiet affair, but the couple is going to have a simple and private wedding ceremony in a temple that will attended by close family members. On June 30th there will be a grand reception party for friends and relatives. And before the big day there will be a mehendi and sangeet functions for everyone.

Our fine feathered friend told us that Esha’s wedding ensembles will be a blend of South Indian and North Indian styles. The outfit for the temple wedding is a bridal-red creation made from a Kanjeevaram sari, with lots of embroidery. Mum Hema Malini will wear traditional Kanjeevaram saris for all the ceremonies. For the reception the Dream Girl will dress in a soft ivory-gold sari with Swarovski embroidery that adds a western touch to an Indian ensemble.

Ahana’s clothes will be in keeping with the Indian theme but have a contemporary touch, all more colourful to suit her age.

After reading so much about the lovely ladies’ wedding attire, we can’t wait to catch a glimpse of the blushing bride. Thankfully, the wait for Ms Deol to become Mrs Takhtani isn’t too long!
