What will Karan Johar do at the 2012 Olympics?

The Agneepath producer will accompany India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and cheer for the Indian sportsmen at the prestigious event

Karan Johar is a busy man these days. Not only is he caught up with his upcoming film Student Of The Year, but he is also one of the judges of the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. From what we know, Karan’s only connection with sports so far have been the basketball sequences that he has shot for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and more recently, SOTY. Barring that, KJo and sports haven’t been mentioned in the same sentence yet. But if the latest news is to be believed, this is supposed to change.

The producer-director is all set to join PM Manmohan Singh at the Olympics this year, being held at London. In a recent interview he said, “Had you asked me a few days ago if I intended to go to London — it’s virtually my second home — during the Olympics, I’d have said, ‘No chance’. I’ve been shooting non-stop for my film Student Of The Year and the TV show that I’m judging. Life has been very hectic. When this invitation came through, I jumped at the opportunity. After all, it’s a very prestigious event.”

We are sure the Indian team would be really happy to see Karan cheer for them from the stands, and it would be great if he comes back with some sports-based idea for a film!
