The Shaadi Ke Side Effects actor says he is different. Find out how
B-town is filled with rivals, friends turned foes and goss like that. Right from the popular actors like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan to the newer ones like Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra, everyone is pitted against each other at some point or the other. But are all B-townies so competitive in nature? Well, looks like Farhan Akhtar isn’t. The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor may have played a very competitive role on the big screen, but in real life, he chooses to differ.
Farhan says, “I’m probably very alone in this boat of not having these competitive ribs in my body. I really feel and I have actually spoken to my friends from the industry as well that there is so much work that people can do individually and together. And to let random differences or a perceived strange race that people are having with each other to get in the way of being able to create better film experiences for audiences is sad.”
The Shaadi Ke Side Effects actor told a popular daily, “When we grew up we saw so many of our favourite actors together in films and as an audience, it was such a payoff. Today, we are denying the audience this experience because we have certain issues about not working together. It’s very sad that the audience can’t get to see their favourite actors together in a film. A healthy sense of competition, of wanting to give your best, do good work is fine, but it shouldn’t start interfering with the way you feel about another person.”
Hmmm… Now if only all actors shared such views, hai na? It would be so nice to see SRK and Sallu together on the big screen again, no? And imagine if two beauties like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra were to share screen space. But, deep sigh! Not everyone is a Farhan Akhtar…
