Professional and personal commitments are making it difficult for the couple to take off on a holiday

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza got married on February 3, but the couple is yet to go on a honeymoon. Anyone wondering why? Relax, they are not fighting. The two were very lovey dovey when they made their first public appearance as newlyweds at Vizag for the match between Mumbai Heroes and Bengal Tigers in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2012. Actually, the CCL 2012 does have a hand in them having to postpone their honeymoon plans. Riteish is part of the Mumbai Heroes team, which has now entered the semi-final. Riteish took two Bengal Tiger wickets to help Mumbai Heroes reach the semis, where they will now compete against Karnataka Bulldozers. That match is scheduled for February 11 in Chennai. You will agree that it is not really worth it for the two to fly off to somewhere when they have to be back so quickly. The two are reportedly also slated to host a wedding reception in Latur (that’s Riteish’s dad Vilasrao’s electoral constituency) on the same day. Since the match is scheduled to begin only at 2pm, we are sure we are not the only ones wondering how the adorable couple is going to make it to their own reception on time. And if Mumbai Heroes by some miracle does reach the final, he will have to fly again to Hyderabad for the match the next day. Then there is the couple’s upcoming film, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. The film is slated to release on February 24. The couple has to take part in several promotional activities before and immediately after its release.

As far as we can tell right now, there is no way Riteish and Genelia can go on a honeymoon before March. Then again, you know what they say… good things come to those who wait!
