Mrs Khan, who is the producer of the Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer, insisted that Rohit sends the footage of the film all the way from Wai, for her to see
Gauri Khan is one helluva shrewd producer. Apart from loosening her purse strings, she also makes sure that she involves herself into every film that she is a part of. So while the whole crew of Chennai Express started shooting in Wai, Maharashtra, Gauri made sure that she kept a track of what’s happening there. But apparently the producer’s sole objective was not just to keep a tab on the shoot; it was also to find out what hubby Shahrukh Khan’s look is like in the film.
So Rohit Shetty – the flexible guy that he is – gave in to the demands of the film’s producer and sent the footage of the initial scenes to Red Chillies Entertainment’s office. And then what, Mrs Khan was supremely impressed with the way the film was shaping up and of course she also liked her lover boy’s colourful lungi avatar. Seems she was blown away by SRK’s South Indian style. We can already imagine, just for that one moment, how SRK’s vibrant picture must have warmed the cockles of Mrs Khan’s heart…isn’t that super duper romantic?
