Why did Saroj Khan and Indra Kumar come together after 16 years?

They were the quintessential director-choreographer jodi of the 90’s and gave many a hits together. Now they are back again together. We wonder why…

We all have heard that history repeats itself, and this story proves the cliche right. Saroj Khan had choreographed many hit tracks for Indra Kumar’s movies. She had made Madhuri Dixit-Nene the dancing queen via his films. Dil, Beta, Raja, Ishq, etc were some of the fabulous movies the duo had done together. But for some unknown reason the two drifted apart; not anymore!

Indra Kumar has asked Saroj Khan to choreograph his daughter Shweta for his upcoming flick Super Nani. The wonderful bond shared by the hit director and the ace choreographer would be seen once again after 16 years. With the first shooting schedule complete, the second shooting schedule is poised to take off early next week and it will flag off with a song sequence with Shweta under the guidance of Saroj. Indra said, “It is a lovely classical number and when I thought of who would be best to choreograph this song, obviously there was no doubt in my head whom to call. Saroj Khan is the master of all dances, all styles and when I called her for this song, she was overjoyed and elated to come on board! She has given me my most memorable songs and I’m looking forward to see my daughter Shweta dance to her magic as well.”

Indra is fresh off the unexpected and phenomenal 100 crore success of Grand Masti and is moving on to direct a film for children. Produced by Ashok Thakeria Super Nani would star Shweta Kumar, Sharman Joshi, Randhir Kapoor, Anupam Kher and the evergreen diva Rekha.

Well, looking at the iconic songs given to us by the Saroj-Indra duo, we sure can’t wait to catch this one from Super Nani!
