The Joker director posted an update on Twitter regretting his response to the RA.One debacle
Director Shirish Kunder’s Joker is all set to release this Friday. Initially it was supposed to be a 3D film but for some inexplicable reason it was made 2D. A lot has been written about leading man Akshay Kumar being upset with the makers for this development, but it seems that it’s not the truth. The general buzz about Joker is not that great, despite the fact that the lead pair recently had a huge hit in the form of Prabhu Deva’s Rowdy Rathore.
All these things might have made Kunder nervous about the fate of his film that opens this weekend. Perhaps that is the reason why he wants to earn some good karma. Not very long ago he had cracked a joke at Shahrukh Khan’s RA.One tanking. As a result he had to face King Khan’s wrath. Putting the past behind, he recently tweeted, “I’ll always regret one thing that I feel very guilty about. I sincerely apologise for my tweet on ‘RA.One.’ Soon after that tweet, his wife Farah Khan tweeted about how proud she is of her husband. Shahrukh hasn’t replied to it yet. At least not on Twitter! We wonder what prompted this delayed public apology. Is this a PR gimmick or did Shirish genuinely feel bad, especially after King Khan went out of his way to promote Joker recently.
