Why does Salman Khan want to re-launch Deepika Padukone?

The Jai Ho star has been all praises for the Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela actor

Salman Khan could not help singing praises about Deepika Padukone on Karan Johar’s chat show. The Dabangg Khan took notice of her success, good looks and journey in Bollywood, but that’s not it. He would like to relaunch her already successful career. We wonder why? Sallu was in a jovial mood at the recently concluded Star Guild Awards. The Being Human actor decided to befriend arch rival Shahrukh Khan, exchanged a hug and even praised his film Chennai Express before getting SRK to promote his soon-to-release film Jai Ho.  But that wasn’t it, this gracious Khan complimented the Happy New Year  heroine, “If Deepika were cast in a documentary film, the film would still do a business of Rs 200 crore!”

If that wasn’t enough to floor Ms Padukone, he got her to mouth her famous dialogue from Chennai Express, Sallu said, “Say ‘bokwaas‘ dialogue from Chennai Express“. But looks like SK has bigger plans for the Padukone gal, having launched so many B-town ladies and turned them into No.1 heroines of tinsel town.

While there were rumours suggesting that the duo might be finally working together in Sooraj Bharjatiya’s Bade Bhaiyya, Deepika had confirmed that she wasn’t approached for the role. The Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actor had revealed in an earlier interview that it was Salman not Shahrukh who had offered her a role in Bollywood first. Deepika said, “I was too young and unclear about which profession to choose at that time. A lot of people thought I was foolish to let it go, but I guess it was destined. But I am glad that I didn’t do the film, because I know I wouldn’t have done justice to it and to our pairing then.”

Today, Deepika has been screaming from rooftops that she is looking for an opportunity to work with the Jai Ho star, but looks like this Dabangg is neither ready to forget or forgive. When Salman was quizzed in a recent interview about Race 2 star being keen on sharing screen space with him, he said, “Really? Then I think we should re-launch her.”

Considering that Dippy is one of SRK’s favourite co-star, this Wanted Khan cannot forget that Ms Padukone chose SRK over him. So then will we never see Salman-Deepika on the 70mm ever? BollywoodLifers, would you like to see Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone together in a film? Do post your thoughts!
