The producers of Arjun-Chitrangda starrer are planning to re-release their film but the question is why?
Directed Sudhir Mishra’s Inkaar which released early this year dealt with the issue of sexual harassment at workplace. Arjun Rampal and Chitrangda Singh played the lead roles in the film and though it received mixed reactions from critics and audience, the makers of Inkaar want to release their film again. Since the whole nation is gripped by the Tarun Tejpal sexual harassment case, Viacom 18 which produced Mishra’s Inkaar is considering re-releasing the film as it showcases the same problem.
While talking to a leading daily, Sudhir Mishra said, “They should release it again. I’d be glad if they do. Arjun Rampal’s character is almost like a replica of Tarun Tejpal. Except that Arjun’s atonement after he admits to the crime of sexual harassment is not a six-month sabbatical. Arjun leaves everything, his career ambitions wealth and power, behind for good.”
Going by the current scenario wethinks releasing Inkaar wouldn’t be a bad idea. At least it will enlighten the viewers about a social evil like sexual harassment at workplace.
