Why is Priyanka Chopra nervous about playing Mary Kom?

Our Jungli Billi will have to undergo a lifestyle change to fit into the boxing gloves of the Olympic medal winner

We all assumed that Priyanka Chopra was the best choice to play the role of boxing champ Mary Kom in Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Omung Kumar’s directorial venture, coz of the lady’s slim physical frame and Kom-like fringes. But hey, while Mary is petite, she has strong and lean muscles; something that is missing in Priyanka’s physique. And the reason is pretty understandable. “I am not a workout person and I don’t really go to the gym regularly,” Piggy Chops said in an interview. Now you know why she is nervous?

The Jungli Billi will have to follow a rigorous workout regime to play the character of a sports-person. “I’m really excited to start the training, I’m scared at the same time, as Mary’s schedule says three hours of workout, and waking up at 4 in the morning,” Priyanka confessed. Aww!

Well, all the best for the strenuous schedule Pee Cee. But we really hope that your physique doesn’t start resembling that of Bipasha Basu by the end of this biopic. No, Bips is totally in shape, we agree. But it’s the thought of witnessing those bulging muscles on your lanky arms that makes us shudder. Does that make you squirm too, readers?
