Why is Ranbir Kapoor’s biopic on Kishore Kumar delayed?

Apparently, the Kapoor lad has his plate full at the moment and isn’t able to give his dates away for the biopic to be directed by Anurag Basu

Ranbir Kapoor is surely one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. Though his last film Besharam failed at the box office miserably, it hasn’t really affected Ranboo’s filmi career. Currently, the talented actor is shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet co-starring Anushka Sharma. RK also has Basu’s detective film Jagga Jasoos alongside his alleged ladylove Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez-Arjun Rampal starrer Roy as well. With three films lined up, the Kapoor lad is finding it difficult to allot dates for the Kishore Kumar biopic. While talking to a leading daily, a source said, “It’s a challenging film, which requires Ranbir to dedicate six-seven months (over 200 days) at one go to it. Right now, since he doesn’t have that kind of time, the film is on hold. Once Ranbir starts work on it, he will have to get into Kishore da’s look and will also undergo physical transformations, including gaining and losing weight (to show the singer’s transformation). So he won’t be able to work on any other film.”

We hear Jr Kapoor recently underwent few look tests for the biopic so the movie is very much in the pipeline and hasn’t been shelved. Now that’s a good news, hai na?
