Unlike his past films, Sallu feels there’s no need to incorporate an item song in his brother’s next
In today’s time when an item number carries equal weightage as a film’s script, Salman Khan and his chote bhaiyya Sohail Khan have decided not to feature any item song in their upcoming film titled Mental. Since 2009, every movie starring Salman has had an item number – be it Le le mazaa (Wanted), Munni badnaam (Dabangg) or the latest Fevicol se (Dabangg 2). So what has changed this time? According to Sohail, Mental is a ‘sensible’ film, so no item songs.
After dancing with some of the most gorgeous babes of B-town, Salman has decided to take a break from the series of item numbers he’s been doing of late. Certainly, Bollywood is not done with uninhibited skin shows in sleazy item numbers, but that’s not what Sohail Khan believes in, at least as far as this film is concerned.
Now, only time will tell if Sohail can resist the temptation of including an item song in his ‘sensible’ film or a last minute request from the promoters will see a change of heart. What do you think BollywoodLifers? Is it a wise decision on Salman and Sohail’s part? What will happen to Sallu’s die-hard frontbencher fans?
