Will Bollywood celebrate Holi this year?

Looks like our concerned film fraternity and its denizens, who are endlessly supporting and advocating the aam junta to conserve water, aren’t in a celebratory mood this year

Trust Bollywood to do something hatke all the time! At a time when everyone will be busy splashing colours and water on each other, most of our B-town celebs won’t be in town, and those who will be, won’t celebrate Holi.

The lead actors of Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai DeewaniRanbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone who are currently shooting their film at Mumbai’s Film City is basking in the pre Holi celebrations. Though the actors are keeping extremely busy considering their film commitments, we hear they might indulge in some colours on the sets! Irrfan Khan will not be in town as he is busy shooting in the forests of Uttarakhand, whereas his Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns co-star, Mahie Gill wishes to be home and stay away from the noise and colours. Unlike the past several years, Govinda will not celebrate Holi this year. Oh! We wonder what will happen to the eunuchs waiting outside Chi Chi bhaiya’s place. Will the dancing star not distribute money to them?

For apna bhidu Jackie Shroff, it all depends if he’s in mood to indulge in fun or not. His Rangeela co-star Urmila Matondkar will be in the UK. Our very own Munni aka Malaika Arora Khan will be shooting for an ad on this festive day.

Only for veteran actor Shabana Azmi, playing Holi is a tradition started by her father Kaifi Azmi. And so Mrs Azmi will celebrate the festival with family and friends amidst lots of naach gaana at her home, Janki Kutir.

On this colourful occasion, we wish all the B-town actors and our readers a very happy and colourful Holi!
