Will Deepika Padukone speak Japanese for Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan?

This South movie keeps getting bigger and better every time we hear about it. So what’s up now?

While we’ve heard about actors struggling with Indian languages – remember the buzz about Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra and Asin trying to learn Marathi? – Deepika Padukone was almost presented with a chance to speak Japanese.

Why Japanese, you might wonder. It’s because Dippy’s next movie with superstar Rajinikanth is all set to go international. Yup, while Kochadaiyaan is being made in Tamil, the movie will be released in many languages including Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Japanese, English, Italian and Spanish. So will Dippy dub in these languages too? “I don’t know these languages. The idea is to make this a big international film coming from India,” Deepika said in an interview. And we are told that the makers will hire dubbing artists for it now.

Even so, Rajini sir is busy learning the pictoral Japanese language just so that he can communicate with his fans when he visits Tokyo in December to promote the movie. Awwwsome, isn’t it?

Kochadaiyaan will release worldwide on 12.12.12 (December 12, 2012) and will showcase the first of its kind performance-capturing technique in Indian cinema. Also, the release date happens to be a day on which superstar Rajinikanth will celebrate his 62nd birthday. Could this movie get any bigger? We think not!Subscribe to me on YouTube
