If the hot goss is to be believed, the Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara actor has agreed to play the lead in the Lootera director’s next, based on a Gujarati novel
Ever since Imran Khan made a sparkling debut as the hero in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the chocolate boy has opted for challenging and hatke roles … courtesy perfectionist maamu Aamir Khan, perhaps? But in his quest to do that, Imran has gotten labeled a ‘non-actor’ and to some extent ‘pure wood’ by critics. But Immy doesn’t wish all that to affect the actor in him, and so he’s taken up a new challenge, this time from Vikramaditya Motwane. Yes, from what we hear, this Khan and the Udaan and Lootera director have decided to work together on a new film.
Post the success of Lootera, the industry has suddenly woken up to Motwane’s brilliance as a filmmaker. Considering the director is basking in the glory of his latest film and its success, apna B-town stars are lining up for the opportunity to work with him. But lucky Imran is the one who has bagged a project to be directed by Motwane. Vikram’s next is believed to be a quirky take on a common man’s battle against the system and is based on a Gujarati novel. The film is said to be titled Bhabesh.
Sources reveal that Motwane has had a script ready for a long time and met Imran for a narration a few days ago. The film that will be produced by Phantom Productions is likely to go on the floors soon. After biggies like OUATIMD and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, Imran has yet another exciting project in his kitty. Now this news has certain industry experts wondering whether success can let anyone proceed to do the unimaginable and impossible…right, Vikram?
