Will it be tough being a ‘Player’ for ‘Paa’ Abhishek Bachchan?

Jr B has maintained a squeaky clean image in real life, but his newfound fatherhood might deter him from doing edgier roles in films from now on…

After weeks of speculation the Bachchan baby has finally arrived and we are super thrilled for the family. While others are busy speculating about the baby’s name and other miscellany, we are concerned about Abhishek’s choice of films – will that change? Some of the work that he has done, in Raavan, Dostana and Yuva, for instance has been quite hatke and we really appreciate his roles. But now that he is a dad with a daughter, who will grow up watching his movies and, we know, asking questions, will his choice of films be more conventional? More importantly, will filmmakers cast him as a lover boy or a Casanova even now? We wonder if the Dostana sequel be as cool as the first one, as the new Paa might be more conscious of his image – like Shahrukh Khan is today, for instance. What other changes might Abhi go through, post this welcome change in his life? Will he do more serious films? Will he do a superhero film? No, Drona doesn’t count! Will he support the cause of women empowerment now that he has a daughter who will idolise him, or will he be his usual cool and debonair self? There are so many questions running on our mind that we fear it will go Dhoom any moment now! Also, will the Bachchans be able to go to work as easily and willingly as before, now that their li’l princess has arrived? We are waiting to hear from them and will keep you posted on all that happens!Subscribe to me on YouTube
