Come Friday Tiger Shroff’s debut film Heropanti will hit the screens alongside Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Kochadaiiyaan. While both the films are of different genres, which one will manage to pull the crowds to the theatres? Read on to know…
This week Jackie Shroff’s ladla beta Tiger Shroff will make his acting debut with Sajid Nadiadwala’s production venture Heropanti. This action romantic drama also stars newbie Kriti Sanon. While Heropanti looks like a typical Bollywood masala film with loads of action, drama and romance, it won’t be easy for Jr Shroff’s maiden film to attract the audience as Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer Kochadaiiyaan too will release this Friday. The South superstar’s period drama has been in the news coz of its ever changing release date but the high on technology flick will finally release as per its schedule. Yes, there has been a lot of buzz around Kochadaiiyaan and we all know the Sivaji actor is a superstar. But his films aren’t a big draw except for down South. Will this be an advantage for Tiger’s film at the box office? Or will Rajini sweep away the bigger money with his mighty star power?
Exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi says, “Both Kochadaiiyaan and Heropanti should be able to do very well in their own space! While Heropanti has stylish action, music that is popular among the youth, fresh new stars and a story that will appeal widely to the small towns of India, Kochadaiiyaan has Superstar Rajinikanth to drive it through! After the relatively dull few weeks (courtesy the elections) this weekend should bring a smile to the faces of industry-folks!”
As of now the box office battle looks well poised but only Friday will tell which film gets the cash registers jingling – Heropanti or Kochadaiiyaan. So let’s wait and watch!
