Will Salman Khan’s Kick beat Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s box office record? Trade buzz!

This week the most-awaited film Kick will the theaters. Since it stars Sallu miyaan we aren’t surprised with all the hype around his action flick. But will Sajid Nadiadwala’s first directorial venture live up to all the expectations? Read on to know…

Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda starrer Kick is releasing on Friday. The stage set for the Being Human superstar to woo the audience once again and in return earn ample  number of whistles and of course moolah. Though his last film Jai Ho didn’t witness an earth shattering opening, it is being said Kick will re-write box office records. Virtually, everything is working for Salman starrer. The music has managed to appeal the masses courtesy Khan’s vocal skills, the action packed trailer received phenomenal response and Nadiadwala has marketed his maiden directorial film well. But will this ensure box office success? Will the Bhai of bollywood beat his good friend Aamir Khan and once-upon-a-time buddy Shah Rukh Khan in the number game? More importantly, will Kick surpass the box office collection of Dhoom:3 and become the highest grossing film in Bollywood?

Exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi says, ” Surpassing Dhoom:3‘s box office collection is not impossible but its tough. However, Kick has tremendous production value and has been shot at foreign location. So if there if one film that can surpass Dhoom:3 than its Salman Khan’s Kick. Also, the film is coming during Eid which is synonymous to Salman as most of films have released around this period – be it Dabangg or Ek Tha Tiger. And they all have been blockbusters.”

We all know Sallu’s film do extremely well at single screens. So will that help Kick in raking in big moolah? “Mass audience cannot afford multiplexes so hard core Salman fans will go to single screens and they are the ones who watch his films not once but three to four times.”

Most films get off to a flying start but fail to sustain the momentum. Will Kick fare well in its second weekend, we asked Akshaye. He told us, ” Yes, absolutely coz there is no big release for the two weeks straight. Then Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment will release.”

Though nothing is likely to affect the business of Salman-Jacqueline starrer, Rathi did point out that the last four days of Ramzan may play a spoilsport along with the rains.

Salman Khan’s latest film will certainly get cash registers jingling but how much will Kick end up grossing only time will tell. So till then let’s wait and watch!
