Will Shabbir Ahluwalia’s new TV show based on Missing work for the Indian audiences?

Anil Kapoor tried his hand at successfully remaking 24, and we loved him in it, but the TRPs didn’t say it

Shabbir Ahluwalia took a back seat from acting when he decided to produce his own shows. After successfully, producing a few shows, the actor is now gearing up to come back to small screen.

According to sources, the dishy dude has been approached by Bhairavi Raichura and Nandita Mehra’s upcoming project, which will be telecast on Star Plus. Going by rumours, the yet untitled show will be based on the American show Missing starring Ashley Judd, Sean Bean and Nick Eversman. The story revolves around an ex-CIA agent whose son goes missing. When in search of her son, she gets embroiled in international conspiracy between the CIA and an Interpol agent.

Apparently, the production house has also bought the rights of the show. Now we know for a fact that the makers will not copy the show scene by scene ‘coz the daily soap needs to fit Indian sensibilities.

However, we cannot stop wondering if the Shabbir’s new show will meet the same fate as Anil Kapoor’s 24. TRPs after all are a big game changer when it comes to TV, no matter how good or progressive you show is, right. All said and done, we are definitely keen to see the hot dude back on small screen.
